Our story…
If you’re wondering where we got our unique name, Balazar is actually a small town in the north of Portugal where our ancestors lived for many many years. It is the current location of our sacred family vacation home which was inherited and brought back to life in recent years. For generations, gifting gold has been tradition in our family, bonding us to the beauty of jewelry and our Portuguese culture.
Balazar holds decades of history for our family and now serves as a place of inspiration and joy. We thought it was only fitting to pay homage to such a beautiful and special place in our hearts.
We are Madelyn and Sonia, co-owners and founders of Balazar Jewelry
We are sisters by marriage and besties by choice. We have a long history of working together for our family business in the construction industry, but have always strived to create a business of our own with our own passions.
After having children (there are 5 kids between the two of us) we decided to finally take the leap. Our business began in October of 2023 and we have loved every minute of it. It’s been so amazing meeting so many new faces who share the love of beautiful custom jewelry with us.
