1. What does gold filled mean?
Gold filled jewelry has a thick layer of solid gold attached to a base metal, typically brass. To be classified as gold filled, it must contain a minimum of 5% solid gold, offering a higher quality and longer lasting option in comparison to gold plated or gold vermeil. Gold filled jewelry is waterproof, hypoallergenic and affordable.
2. What happens if my jewelry breaks?
While we stand behind our jewelry and design our pieces for everyday wear, they are not unbreakable. Some of our chains are very fine and if they get caught or snagged the chain can snap. We offer free repairs within 60 days of your purchase. We are unable to replace lost pieces.
3. What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is when a chain is secured to your wrist, anklet or neck by micro welding the ends together instead of using a traditional clasp. Chains are typically dainty and comfortable to wear daily without having to remove them.
4. What if I need to remove my permanent jewelry piece?
There are certain situations which require all jewelry to be removed such as medical procedures. In this instance you can cut the jump ring where your piece was welded with a sharp pair of scissors. Bring it back to us when you're ready and we will re-weld it free of charge!
5. I have a custom piece in mind but I don't see on your website. Can I still order it?
Yes! We specialize in custom jewelry and making your visions come to life. If you have something in mind but don't see it listed on our website, send us an e-mail at info@balazarjewelry.com and we'll work with you to make your idea come alive!
6. I have an old chain that I'd like reimagined. What can I do?
We love an heirloom piece! Bring you old chains to us and we can reimagine them in many different ways. Can't make it to one of our events? Send us an e-mail and we'll send you a shipping label. Once we receive it we'll connect with you to work on your piece.
7. Does the micro welding hurt?
Not at all! The electrode will only zap metal, not skin. We always place a piece of leather between your skin and the bracelet just as an extra precaution.
8. What is your return policy?
All of our custom pieces are made to order and final sale. For stock items such as rings we offer a 30 day return policy. This does not apply if the piece has been engraved.
9. Is there a fee for private parties?
We have a travel and set-up fee of $100.00 that is waived with 6 or more confirmed guests.
